The word means something like "in the company of truth". In practice it is simply people gathering to sit with a teacher and ask what is on their minds — no ceremony, no ritual, nothing you need to know beforehand. If the word is unfamiliar, "a conversation with Mohanji, in a room of people who came for the same reason" is close enough.

Watch a whole session first — there is one further up this page, unedited and free. If it speaks to you, come to a single one before committing to anything longer; the once-off is there for exactly that. Most people know within a session or two whether it is for them, and there is no rhythm you have to keep until you are sure.

Two hours, live on Zoom, in three parts: 45 minutes with Mohanji on that week's theme, 60 minutes of questions answered one by one in real time, and 15 minutes of blessings and personal wishes. There is no script and no fixed sequence.

No. Plenty of people never ask anything and find that the answer to someone else's question was the one they came for. Sitting and listening is a complete way to attend.

Mohanji encourages it. In a satsang a great deal passes through the eyes, and the connection runs both ways — he is looking at the room as much as the room is looking at him, and that meeting is part of what the two hours are for. It is an encouragement rather than a condition. If your circumstances, your surroundings or your connection mean the camera stays off, you are entirely welcome as you are.

Not always. Mohanji travels constantly, and each session is set around where he is that week — so the day and the hour can move. Whatever has been settled for the coming session is at the top of this page, in your own timezone, and it goes out in the weekly email as well. If the time is awkward where you live, the recording is on Mohanji TV free for the following week.

No. You can come once — the once-off option covers the first Sunday of the month — or subscribe monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually. Quarterly and longer can be paid in monthly instalments.

Neither. The sessions are open to everyone — no prerequisites, no required beliefs, nothing to sign up to beyond the session itself. People come on their first week and people come having sat for twenty years.

No, to both. Mohanji describes himself as a guide to yourself rather than someone to be followed — in his words, “you do not follow him; you follow yourself.” There is nothing to convert to and no belief you must hold; people take part while keeping their own faith, or none. As he puts it, humanity is the best religion — kindness, honesty and non-violence, lived consciously. You are welcome exactly as you are.

It simply stops, and the joining links stop with it. We send a reminder two weeks beforehand as a courtesy, but do keep an eye on the date yourself — email goes astray, filters change, and we would rather you did not discover it by missing a session. The date is always on your subscription page, and renewing takes a minute.
